Shunyata in the UK
What better way to celebrate 10 years of Boyer Audio than to welcome Caelin Gabriel, CEO and Chief Designer of Shunyata Research, to the UK — for the first time in a decade — for two events this month: first the Audio Show Deluxe in Whittlebury Park on March 21st & 22nd, and then for an evening at KJ West One on Thursday March 26th.
Our journey started in 2016 as The Shunyata Research Distribution Company, the exclusive distributor for Shunyata Research in the UK and Ireland. While we have since expanded our portfolio under the Boyer Audio banner, Shunyata continues to form the backbone of our business with their relentless innovation in noise-reduction technology across cables, power distributors and grounding products.
The man behind the silence
Driven today by a stellar team out of Poulsbo, Washington State, you nevertheless cannot talk about Shunyata Research without first talking about Caelin Gabriel, a former US military research scientist with a background in the research and design of ultra-sensitive data acquisition systems. These systems were designed to detect extremely low-level signals otherwise obscured by random noise, requiring years of intensive research into the sources and effects of signal and power-line noise interference. It was in his time stationed in Germany that Caelin discovered a love of and aptitude for the HiFi experience. Throwing parties around potluck-style systems for locals and soldiers alike would plant a seed for what would become his life's work.
Caelin’s efforts to improve his own music listening experience launched the science and research based company in 1997. He holds more than 10 patents, with numerous additional patents pending. These technical innovations have earned Shunyata Research product designs countless critical awards and endorsements from renowned recording studios, mastering engineers, heart surgeons and hospitals from all over the world. Caelin is a dedicated student of philosophy, transcendental meditation and the history of divergent thinkers. This unusual combination of intellectual discipline and unfettered curiosity offers the advantage of unorthodox insight and singular expertise. Shunyata Research is forged from this combination of Gabriel's training.
This will be Caelin Gabriel’s first appearance in the UK for a decade, making this a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to meet one of the most influential designers in high-performance audio cabling and power systems.
Audio Show Deluxe
Together with Richard Rogers (Sales & Customer Service Manager), Caelin will be manning our second room Syndicate 9 at the Audio Show Deluxe this year. Expect insightful workshops and demos throughout the day from one of the greatest innovative minds in the industry. Once you’ve fully absorbed the science behind Shunyata Research in this intimate setting, head to our flagship room Monza to hear it in action in what promises to be Boyer Audio’s best showing ever for our fourth appearance at the show.
We will be showcasing the new Everest-X shelf unit, Omega-X speaker cables & interconnects and Omega-X QR and XC power cables. Brand new for 2026 we have the Altaira-X grounding system and the Delta-X power distributor.
Across our unprecedented two-room presence, Shunyata will be featured alongside Wadax, Kroma Atelier, Orpheus Lab, Engström, Bassocontinuo, Cinnamon Audio and Network Acoustics.
Symmetry Systems will also be featuring a full loom of Shunyata Research cables in their Vale room, along with the new Delta-X power distributor.
KJ West One
For this session Caelin will be leading a deep-dive into the physics, measurement data, and proprietary technologies that make Shunyata Research products so unique. You will get to see the science of sound explained by one of the leading cable designers in the world, followed by a Q&A session and focused A/B listening demonstrations on one of KJ’s world-class reference systems.
There will be two sessions on the night starting at 5:00pm and 6:30pm.
