Lars Engström is the son of an engineer father and fine artist mother. Curious from an early age about how things worked, he built his first tube amplifier at age 12.
ARNE
Integrated Amplifier
Named after a famous Swedish jazz musician, ARNE is the distillation of all Engström’s technical, musical and design experience to date. It is a fully balanced 300B integrated stereo amplifier and a big leap in bringing Scandinavian Sound to a wider audience of listeners.
ERIC Encore
Statement Power Amplifier
Named after a great Swedish choir conductor, ERIC is a no-compromise statement power amplifier. Created to drive even the toughest loads and weighing in at 65kg per monoblock, it is an industry heavyweight in both size and sound.
LARS
Original Power Amplifier
Named after co-founder Lars Engström, LARS is the original and critically acclaimed power amplifier. Each unit features the world’s best components and materials, hand-selected by Lars himself, alongside Engström’s own custom parts.
MONICA
Pre-Amplifier
Named after a famous Swedish singer, MONICA is a fully balanced and perfectly matching pre-amplifier for the LARS and ERIC. Simple on the outside, with best-in-class components and a lifetime of engineering experience on the inside.
M-PHONO

As the third chassis complementing the MONICA line-stage, M-Phono is the MM/MC phono-pre-amp. Integrated into the original MONICA two-box design in 2014, it is now a standalone product allowing the phono and line-stage to reach their full potential.

Lars Engström is responsible for the engineering inside each amplifier, all characterised by a balanced circuit with a linear construction. All components are carefully selected to support this linear process. No negative feedback or distortion are used, creating a natural rightness to the sound.
His nephew, industrial designer Timo Engström, is responsible for the striking exterior of the amplifier family. Inspired by Scandinavian radio furniture of the 60's and 70's, Timo brings an elegant and functional aesthetic that makes these amps so unique - they are designed to be seen, as well as heard.
