Audio Show Deluxe 2023!

A long day of setup proved worth every minute at this year’s inaugural Audio Show Deluxe in Whittlebury Park. We had the pleasure of showcasing some of our very finest equipment from Engström, Kroma Atelier, Shunyata Research and FalkenOhr, including the glorious ERIC ENCORE power amplifiers, the Stella Xtreme loudspeakers, the ALTAIRA grounding system to name just a few.

Grateful beyond words to Timo Engström and Kroma’s Miguel Carvalho who were an incredible help in setting up the room (a huge effort which took us well into the early hours). I couldn’t have done it without them. Both of these guys have an enormous amount of experience in setting up great sounding rooms for shows (Munich, Ultimate Audio etc.) and it really showed!

Humbled by all the feedback we received during the show and since on social media, and big thanks to all who have been in touch and expressed interest in adding our brands to their portfolio. We are delighted that they have made such an impression!

”A good few people I had spoken to during the Sunday had said that this had been their favourite room of all the rooms” -Hifi Pig

Above: on Sunday Engström’s ARNE integrated stereo amplifier had no trouble delivering amazing sound, even in such a big room.

“I enjoyed the music in this room and sat through a good few tracks - despite its physical appearance this is not a "show off" system in the way it performs, but neither does it underperform like so many beautifully built products can do.  It is unassuming, effective, unobtrusive in terms of letting the music through to the listener. A room worth going back to for more.” -Audiophile Musings

“Beyond anything I’ve heard…”

Nigel Crump & Matthias Lück

We’d also like to thank Matthias Lück of Brinkmann and Nigel Crump of Symmetry (whose beautiful room was fully wired by Shunyata Research) for supplying and setting up the Brinkmann analogue front end and providing additional HRS racks, including a new dedicated stand for the EVEREST. In addition a big thanks to Mark at KOG for supplying the amazing Taiko Extreme server and Fraser at AIRT for the incredible Vitus Masterpiece DAC!

Last but certainly not least: thanks to our wonderful hosts and organisers Kris Sawicki and Stuart & Linette at Hifi Pig for making it all possible. We look forward to 2024!

“Some very good looking equipment in this room - a refreshing change to see modern looking minimalist valve amps that avoid the steam punk or overly ornate "gold plated everything" aesthetics.” -Audiophile Musings

Miguel Carvalho

Miguel was a wonderful and tireless DJ, introducing us to many new pieces of music (including Rachelle Farell) and keeping the audience captivated. Timo equally did not disappoint with his amazing vinyl collection.

“By a million miles the best sound at the show - spent 3 very enjoyable hours in there.”

“This system saved the day.”

“OK, this is a super high-end system and it shows. The detail of the guitar on the track we listened to was pretty incredible to say the least. Again. I think there’s a bit of misunderstanding with regards to high-end systems; this is not about shouting and fireworks, it is about clarity, detail and something that is hard to quantify. I think I “get it” and had I the money I’d be going down this very high-end route without a doubt. It’s about a visual and sonic experience that, like we hoped to do with this show, thrills and excites. No, not everyone can afford this system, but we can all aspire to this level of excitement and thrill!” -Hifi Pig
